DERM’ALEP THE GENUINE NATURAL SOAP

An exclusively natural soap…

Derm’Alep is a natural product with a composition of natural raw materials. This composition gives Derm’Alep its authentic dermatological qualities and makes it a true natural soap.

The high quality Derm’Alep copes perfectly with healthy skin thanks to its alkaline ph and its oils. Olive oil doesn’t dry the skin, which stays soft. Bay-laurel oil, greatly used for medical purposes - has a reputation for its tonic and stimulating qualities.

Derm’Alep is gentle on skin and doesn’t provoke skin allergies (eczema, psoriasis…etc). It is particularly recommended for daily hygiene, baby bath and as a course of treatment of dermatitis.

DAILY USE OF DERM’ALEP FOR THE BODY

For the face and the bodyDerm’Alep is used daily much for the face than for the body. It cleans deeply the skin, eliminates the peeled cornea layer, the sebum and sweat (which tarnishes the complexion of face), dust and other micro-bodies of the environment. It’s an excellent make-up remover. Getting washed with Derm’Alep prevents infection and gets rid of the foul odors. Lastly, the absence of all artificial colouring or other chemical additives is the reliable guaranty from allergies or other attack that may harm the skin if rubbed by an industrial soap.

Elimination of sebum – It is advisable to remove frequently the hydrolipid exceeds of the skin. However, the soap used must be neither too detergent nor too anti-septic. Also, Derm’Alep is the most natural and the less aggressive for this elimination and gives the chance for a perfectly cleaned skin.

USE OF DERM’ALEP FOR LINEN

Many dermatologists recommend the use of Derm’Alep to wash the linen in contact with sensitive skins.  Derm’Alep is recommended for the baby clothes and lingerie because it has the advantage of being harmless for sensitive skins.

Anti-clothes moths – Furthermore, Derm’Alep has an unknown (or forgotten) quality in the Western world but known in the eastern world, which is a true anti-clothes moth. That is why the Aleppeans places them in their cupboards to preserve their clothes from moths.

THE PROPERTIES AND SPECIFICITIES OF ALEPPO SOAP

The benefic effects of this therapeutic complement.

Aleppo Soap was used in the old times so much for its therapeutic as its hygienic properties. However, this therapeutic usage has decreased in the second half of the twentieth century, in the benefit more specific and much less natural soap.

Aleppo is not a medicine and do not constitute, by itself, a medical treatment. It is a therapeutic complement, that constitute an adjuvant and complementary help to the classical therapies.

Aleppo Soap is recommended for Febris Pimple (Labial Herpes), infant buttock Erythema, skin burns and small skin wounds, the Hell edge’s cracked keratosis, the Legs Ulcer, the Stomies hygiene, the Hemorrhoids, the Pruritus, the Hands Dermatitis and the Atopic Dermatitis (eczema), the Bacterian  Dermatosis (Impetigo, Hecthyma,, Superficial Folliculitis or Osteofolliculitis, Vulvar Sycosis, Furuncle), the Candidiasis… Aleppo Soap also prevents some common Dermatosis (Favus, Herpes Tonsurans, Pityriasis, and Microsporia).

SUMMARY OF THE PROTOCOLE OF THE STUDY IN HYPOALLERGENICITY

This kind of study in France depends on the HURIET law. For financial reasons and time limit, we carried out this study in the U.S.A.

  • Aim of the project

To determine the irritation and/or the allergy of potential contact after the testing of a product in repetitive applications of patches on the skins of some volunteers.

  • Methods

Human subjects

Usually 50, 100, 200 people, men or women who are more than 18 years old are selected. The volunteers are informed about the real nature of the test and about the eventual possibility of a reaction
They are considered as being able to read, to understand and to follow the instructions.

At the start of the test, every subject fills a medical history form. The subjects are not to present any dermatological problem which could have an effect on the testing.

  • Testing product

A sufficient quantity of the product to test will be given by sponsor.
Liquids: about 250 ml for 50 subjects
Powders, half-solids: about 250g for 50 subjects

  • Induction phase

About 0, 2 ml or g of products to test is applied on the back of the subject while using an occlusive patch (in half-occlusive use for the study of irritating or volatile product.)
24 hours patches are generally applied on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, periods of 24 hours patches are followed with the cleaning of the patches on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a 48 hours period of rest after the cleaning on Saturdays.
A trained examiner gives a mark to every site just before the application which follows.

This process is repeated until 9 inductions are made on the same site of application.

When a subject develops a reaction marked two or more during the induction phase, the patch which follows will be applied on a near site of application.
If a reaction of type 2 or more occurs ago in on this new site, the induction phase is stopped.

But any way, all subjects who have made a reaction will be patched again during the triggering phase of the study.

  • Triggering phase

About 2 weeks after the application of the last patch of the induction phase, a triggering phase is set on a blank site (which was not patched) adjacent to the site on which the patches of the induction were set.
The site of the triggering patch is marked after 24 and 72 hours after the application.
The subjects are asked to bring back any subsequent reaction.

The answers (traces) on the skin are marked as following:

0: no affect revealed

1: (lightly perceptible) tiny rash, uniform or in spot

2: (light) pink rash, uniform, covering the majority of the contact zone

3: (moderate) red pink rash, uniform on the whole site

4: (marked) bright red rash, with or without papules

5: (severe) dark red rash with or without vesicle

Every oedema will also be composed of a specification of the method, the identification of the product to test, the selection of the panel, the summary of the experience, the results and the conclusion.

The results of the cutaneous answers are presented in tabular form.
